1. Who is the underdog idols?

As the title eloquently says, there is more then just ONE idol. Record label companies seeks constantly new talents to promote and to bring to stardom. Whoever has the talent to make it in the music world, is definitely an idol. Do not let 4 judges decide if you are or can make it in this industry. Believe in yourself and you can reach any goals you want.

2. How to get started?

You simply need to register as an underdog, get your video on Youtube with your choice of music(country, jazz, Top40 etc.. ) and perform. Make sure to get the YOUTUBE embedded codes and post it to the underdogidols site. With your choice of music, it will go to the appropriate recording label company and they will receive your video to be reviewed. If they approve it, you will receive notification to get a more professional video done or simply meet with the record label company agents for a more formal record deal.

3. What is the cost?

This is the fun part. Whoever participated to the American idol, either local or long distance, had to incur time and energy and money to wait around the whole day to hopefully meet with the judges and either move to the next round or be rejected. With underdogidol, you can simply, at the comfort of your own house, post your video on youtube, send us the embedded codes, and you are done. The process will cost you no more then $10.00, the price of two beers at a bar for a chance to become a star.

4. How can we be notified if we can move to the next round?

With Underdog idols, there is no second round, or Hollywood week. There is no 36 contestant to bring down to top 10 and then up to the top 2’s and then the winner. We do not want to beat around the bush here. The record label companies will contact you if they feel your talent meets their requirement. They been in the industry long enough to see if you have talent or you don’t. They can also give you feedback, depending on how many videos they need to judge under their specific category. Make sure to choose the right category of music(Jazz, country, Top40 etc..) so you can perform greatly. You can post more then one video, if you feel that the first one didn’t show your true talent. Each time you post thought, you are being charged the same rate. If the record label agent finds your video to be fitting their needs, they will contact you directly.


5. If I got chosen by the label company, what is the next step?

Well, this is where the fun begins. You got chosen, CONGRATS! You are your way to success. Once chosen, you will be in contact with the agent and they will most probably ask for a talent sheet, with pictures, videos, and other requirements. At that point, you and the record label company will work together for any future deals.

6. Can I communicate with the record label company?

The system only allows those who been selected to communicate with the label company. Once you post your video, you just need to wait for an answer from the agent. If they are interested in you, they will contact you. Since you do not know who received your video, you can’t really know who viewed it, so there is no real way to know who to send email to. We try to protect the privacy to the agent so they are not slammed with millions of emails.
